The best thing to do now is to continue to let her natural hair grow out. As her natural hair grows, you can cut off the texturized part of her hair bit by bit. If her hair is very long, this is going to be a long process. If her hair is short, you will be at your goal in no time. If you do nothing, her hair will begin to break right where the natural hair and the texturized hair meet. This is because the hair is two different textures on one hair strand. Ultimately, if you dont want to keep giving her chemicals (which is not good for her at such a young age), then you have to gradually cut off the chemically treated hair.

Hi,when I was young I had a straith hair, but i don't know what happened and my hair became frizzy. I was thinking about cutting all my hair so it can grow healthy, but I not sure.Is there another way to make my hair healthy like it was when I was young? Thank you.

Hi Diana

After reading your article on "Taking care of frizzy dry or brittle hair".

I would like your help in recommending any good hair products that would really help with this condition, I started to experience this terrible dry brittle hair syndrome approximatley a year ago, I'm not sure if it is linked with the menopause as I am now at that age. Currently I am using the Nexus range of products i.e. Therappe Shampoo, Humectress Conditioner and occasionally the Keraphix Conditioner, so far not much difference.

Prior to this I was given the Mayonnaise conditioner and I used the Olive oil shampoo along with it which only made my hair very stiff and dull, since then my hair just hasn't recovered, it is now breaking the only thing I can think to do with it is to cut it all off and start again.

Desperate!
