In my city (Houston) along the block I stay on there are 7 fast food restaurants to 1 Subway and this is well within a 1 mile radius and by a HS and a MS, but with that said it is still our responsibility to teach our children the right things and to have these foods predominate in our households before they step into our world of fast fat food.

I totally agree with you. What troubles me about these reports is that at some point we are going to start seeing government mandates that will restrict the number of these legetimate busnesses in a particular area. On the other hand I totally agree that fast food chains should not be located in public schools.
